Troubleshooting guide

The plant is healthy. Inject a fault from the control panel, or change the machine yourself and watch what the readings do — the guide then explains what happened, why, and the steps that put it right.

How to work this machine
  1. Read the plant before touching it: suction and discharge pressure, superheat and subcooling tell you what the machine is doing.
  2. Change one thing at a time — compressor capacity, condenser fans, coil valve or bypass — and watch which reading moves.
  3. On a fault, work the guide in order: read it, take the chiller off line, complete the repair, restart, load up and verify.
  4. Finish by confirming the loop is back on setpoint with no alarms — that, not a cleared alarm, is a finished job.
